Youth Basic Skills Class-Tot/Beginner through Advanced Freestyle

Youth Learn to Skate classes are offered for Club Member children ages 4 and up.  Basic Skills for Hockey levels 1-6 is offered on Monday afternoons at 4:30.  Basic Skills for Figure, recreational and tot (to include Snowplow Sam for tots ages 4-6, Basic Skills levels 1-6 for skaters 7 and up and Freeskate lessons for skaters past Basic 6) is offered on Fridays at 4:40 pm.  All skaters will be evaluated in the beginning of Club Season and placed into the appropriate level group by the recording professional. Each session is one hour in length and will provide time for general skating, group lesson classes, and open practice time. Consistent attendance during lessons is strongly encouraged so that children can progress to testing for the next level.

Club members who wish to join the Friday 7:30 pm or Saturday 11:45 am Public Group Lessons classes for the discounted price of $160/8 wks should enroll by clicking here to print and complete the Public Group Lessons brochure of your choice then pay the discounted price of $160.

For our younger tot (ages 2.5-6) club members who wish to take an afternoon tot class, we also offer weekday Tot group lessons for Club and Public skaters on either Tuesday or Thursday afternoons at 12:45 pm. These lessons are free for Club Members and cost $185/8 weeks for the Public. Class include a 30-minute warm-up, 30 minute group lesson, 30 minute practice time and rental skates. Also offered during the Tuesday or Thursday afternoon only tot session (not on Monday or Friday afternoon) are the following 2 tot classes:

  1. Intro to the Ice – a class that is fun and interactive for toddlers ages 2-5 years focusing on developing a young skater’s comfort level.  The class is taught with skaters wearing sneakers and walking out on mats on the ice.
  2. Parent & Me – bring your favorite grownup and Learn to Skate together!
